How will you make an impact?

TSS’ Training team is a critical support service enabling TSS’ success. To ensure quality of service for our customer base performing lifesaving and life-changing work, TSS’ Training Department provides customized training for our Field Service Technicians. As a Training and Technical Manager, you will facilitate the advancement of employees while supporting our quality of service. 

The Training and Technical Manager will be responsible for maintaining the efficiency and success of TSS’ Training department by providing both training and technical assistance for all regional operations teams. As a Training and Technical Manager, you will be instrumental in providing both education and development of both current and future TSS staff. 

What will you do?

  • Deliver pre-defined training content. 
  • Assist in the creation of new training material/content. 
  • Ensure that existing training material/content is current. 
  • Maintain training center to facilitate both current and future training needs. 
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on specified technology when requested. 
  • Assist in the development of new procedures/technology/training methodologies. 
  • Create and manage training work orders, events, and rosters in TSS Software.
  • Reviewing training class outputs and communicating results to appropriate personnel, including quiz results, and classroom reviews. 
  • Purchase required materials for training classes/centers. 
  • Travel to other TSS Regional Offices to provide in-person training when required.  
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Salary range of $62,000 - $129,000 annually
    (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with industry data.)

How will you get here?

Education and Experience

  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent. Bachelor’s degree preferred.  
  • Requires ~2 years of customer service experience. 
  • Requires ~3 years of field service experience. 
  • Requires relevant administration experience. 
  • NSF Biosafety Cabinet Field Certifier Enhanced Accreditation (Preferred) 
  • CETA CNBT-SCF Accreditation (Preferred) 
  • A combination of education, training and related experience may meet requirements. 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience with Service Manager and eData software. 
  • Experience with the Microsoft Office suite. 
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to continually learn new services. 
  • Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision by employing effective time management and prioritization skills. 
  • Highly effective verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Knowledge of basic math including geometry and algebra.  
  • Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
